From High-Fashion Photographer to Being A Mom Based in Denmark with Rebekah Joy Lund
Being a parent should not stop us from doing what we love and create a career out of it.
As our guest said, “If COVID has taught us anything, it's that this is our only life. Don't waste it wondering if you can do something, just go ahead and try it.”
We are joined today by Rebekah Joy Lund, the founder of Rebekah Joy Portraits. A photography studio based in the Østerbro neighborhood of Copenhagen. Today, she’ll share her life in the US as a successful fashion photographer and moving to Denmark to start a family and how she was able to bring back her love for photography and start her business in a new country.

Best places to visit for your kids and family
School Playgrounds - School Playgrounds are the best for weekends. Not crowded and lots of fun playgrounds to choose from different schools.
Experimentarium - great for those dreary winter days or dark days. It has an indoor play area. That's for little kids, and then also lots of stuff for all ages

More about your host!
I’m Jackie, your Podcast Host and American - Filipina Mom of two wonderful little kids, who’s been living in Denmark with her family for the past seven years. Born in Manila, Philippines and I moved to California, US when I was five years old. Although today I treat the US as my homeland, I remember until this day, what a cultural shock the whole “moving into a new country” was for me. Especially that my mom was giving me rice meals for lunch at school, while all the other kids were having peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. I couldn’t understand why they were eating so differently and they couldn’t understand my “rice thingy” either.
